The 2027 Chevrolet Tahoe receives a relatively modest set of updates after the SUV's substantial 2025 refresh. One of the more notable changes is expanded availability of Super Cruise with the 3.0-liter Duramax turbodiesel, although the combination remains unavailable on the Z71.

The RST now receives heated and ventilated front seats as standard equipment, while a new White Sands exterior color is offered on RST and Z71 models. Chevrolet also adds Digital Key functionality, while the Z71 receives a new 20-inch wheel design.

Chevrolet has also reorganized several option packages for easier ordering. The Sun and Tow Package adds trailering camera technology and is bundled with the Max Trailering Package on Premier and High Country models. Otherwise, the Tahoe's fundamental engineering carries over, including its 5.3-liter V8, 6.2-liter V8, and 3.0-liter Duramax inline-six diesel, each paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The T1-based platform and recently refreshed interior and exterior designs also remain intact, while pricing increases modestly across much of the lineup. In other words, Chevrolet has mostly rearranged the furniture for 2027 rather than rebuilding the house again two years after renovating it.

The 2027 Chevrolet Tahoe continues to offer three primary engines, all paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The standard 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 produces 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque and comes standard on the LS, LT, RST, Z71, and Premier.

Buyers wanting additional performance can choose the 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8, which produces 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. It is standard on the High Country and available on the RST, Z71, and Premier, while the RST Performance Edition offers an enhanced 433-horsepower version.

The alternative is Chevrolet's 3.0-liter Duramax turbo-diesel inline-six, producing 305 horsepower and a substantial 495 lb-ft of torque. Available on the LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country, the Duramax emphasizes low-end torque and efficiency rather than outright horsepower, making it particularly appealing for longer-distance driving and towing.

Between the three engines, Tahoe buyers can prioritize the affordability and familiarity of the 5.3-liter V8, the stronger performance of the 6.2-liter V8, or the torque and efficiency advantages of the Duramax diesel.
