Small SUVs are my favorite vehicles, and the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer is at the top of that list. This crossover is surprisingly spacious inside with plenty of cargo space, yet it’s not so large and overbearing that it can’t easily fit in parking spaces and maneuver where you need it to go. Plus, the Trailblazer looks amazing (especially when you choose the Oasis blue color on the RS trim!). Chevrolet did not hold back here, as this well-crafted SUV is luxurious, safe, and full of technological features that will make you wonder how you ever did without it. Whether you choose the sporty RS trim, go off-roading with the ACTIV trim, or enjoy one of the LS or LT models, the Chevy Trailblazer is the best of the best and will make a great addition to your driveway.

The 2022 Chevy Trailblazer is equipped with the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system. This means that, with any trim, the Trailblazer includes a 7 inch color touchscreen in the center console, which can be upgraded to an 8 inch touchscreen if you choose. The system can sync easily with your smartphone using Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Chevrolet has also developed their myChevrolet Mobile App so that your smartphone can become a command center of your vehicle in the palm of your hand. Besides being able to check fuel levels or other maintenance information, you can have the ability to activate features such as remote start/stop, unlock/lock, or even vehicle locate as long as your Trailblazer is equipped for them.

Speaking of smartphones, the ACTIV and RS trims also have the ability to include a wireless charging pad so you can be sure your phone or other devices are always fully charged and ready to go.

On many of the trims, the Trailblazer features an available hands-free power programmable liftgate with LED logo projection. This means that when you have a key fob with you, simply kick under the left-hand side of the rear bumper to signal to the vehicle to open the liftgate. An LED projection marks the activation spot for you, making it even easier to operate.

Parents will appreciate the Teen Driver setting which is available for all of the 2022 Trailblazers. This feature allows you to customize various settings to be associated with a certain key fob for your teen. Some vehicle features can be limited, or you can have safety systems automatically turned on such as not being able to shift out of park if the driver’s seat belt is not fastened. Additionally, there is an in-vehicle report card so you can help your teen develop better driving habits.

Trailblazer LS

While the 2022 Trailblazer LS is the baseline model, it’s far from basic. Starting at an MSRP of $21,600 it offers either an ECOTEC 1.2L Turbo engine in the FWD model or an ECOTEC 1.3L Turbo engine for the AWD model. All trims of the Trailblazer are wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto compatible and offer a Chevrolet Infotainment system with a 7 inch diagonal color touch-screen for easy access. To help you stay safe behind the wheel, the Trailblazer also provides the Chevy Safety Assist package standard on the 2022 Trailblazers. In this package you will have automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, a rear vision camera, and more, for no extra costs.

Trailblazer LT

Taking things up a notch, the Trailblazer LT trim offers a lot of extra convenience for a very reasonable starting MSRP of $25,195. This model adds electronic cruise control, keyless open and start, remote start, as well as heated power-adjustable mirrors to keep your vision unobstructed even in snow and ice. Also enjoy the luxury of an 8-way power driver seat with 2-way power lumbar control to provide you with extra comfort, especially for those long drives when you may start to need that extra lumbar support.

Trailblazer ACTIV
