The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 offers a broad range of cabin technology depending on trim and equipment level. Entry-level configurations keep things relatively simple with a 7-inch touchscreen featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while higher trims upgrade to a much larger 13.4-inch infotainment display and 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Premium configurations can also add a head-up display, allowing important vehicle and navigation information to remain within the driver's line of sight.

Technology also plays a major role when towing. An available 14-camera system provides multiple views around the truck and trailer, including a transparent trailer view designed to make maneuvering with a trailer easier. Owners can also create and monitor individual trailer profiles through a compatible smartphone app, helping track important information for frequently used trailers. Standard driver-assistance equipment includes features such as forward automatic emergency braking and a following-distance indicator, combining the Silverado's traditional towing capability with increasingly useful safety and trailering technology.

The 2500 and 3500 will carry over their powertrain lineup, which features the 6.6L V8 and the Duramax Turbo-diesel V8. Chevrolet pairs the gas engine with an Allison 10-speed automatic transmission, providing a broader spread of gear ratios for improved power delivery under load. With no major powertrain overhaul expected for 2027, the Silverado HD instead carries forward its established gas and diesel combinations, giving buyers a choice between the lower complexity of gasoline power and the Duramax's substantial low-end torque for serious towing.
