2020 Chevrolet Traverse

The 2020 Chevrolet Traverse is bold, refined, and ready to transport your big family in style.

What is a Chevy Traverse?

Curious about the Traverse? We’ve got you covered. The 2020 Chevrolet Traverse is a sporty three-row crossover SUV with seating for up to eight passengers. Add the second-row captain’s chairs and the Traverse offers room for seven.

This family-friendly crossover is available as seven trim models: L, LS, LT Cloth, LT Leather, RS Premier, and High Country. As you climb the Traverse hierarchy, you’ll find more and more to love, with optional features like heated seats and leather upholstery. The Traverse tech game is also strong. Standard features include Wi-Fi connectivity and smartphone integration with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Every Traverse features the same powertrain: a 3.6-liter V6 engine mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Optional all-wheel drive increase this crossover’s sporty capabilities, helping you keep your grip on wet pavement or light off-road trails. The Traverse also offers a trailering package. With it, the 2020 Traverse can tow up to 5,000 pounds.

What’s new for the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse?

In previous model years, the Traverse RS trim featured a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, but it’s been retired for 2020. That’s actually good news, because it means that every Traverse trim model now comes standard with the more powerful 3.6-liter V6 engine. With its output of 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque, the Traverse’s V6 will make you forget all about that underpowered four-cylinder engine.

The new 2020 Chevrolet Traverse also rolls out some improvements to the tech lineup. The brand new Infotainment 3 system is a major draw, giving you access to your favorite features via a high-definition color touchscreen. When you put the Traverse in reverse, the standard high-definition backup camera automatically displays on this touchscreen.

Like previous Chevy systems, Infotainment 3 also includes complete smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This technology gives you the means to use smartphone apps via the touchscreen or via voice control. Use the Wi-Fi hotspot to bolster your internet connection. You can also keep your favorite devices fully operational, because the Traverse features USB charge ports in every row.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

You can count on the 2020 Traverse to last. In addition to this generation’s dependable new nine-speed transmission and sturdy V6 engine, every new Traverse comes standard with Chevy’s impressive warranty coverage. The limited powertrain warranty lasts five years or 60,000 miles (whichever comes first), giving you definitive peace of mind. The Chevrolet warranty also includes bumper-to-bumper coverage for three years or 36,000 miles.

Where is the Chevrolet Traverse made?

GM proudly assembles the Traverse at its GM Lansing Delta Township Assembly plant in Lansing, Michigan. Indeed, this is the only plant in the world that produces this all-American family crossover.
