What’s New in 2025 for the Chevy Tahoe?

The Tahoe has been slightly refreshed for 2025 with a revised dashboard design and larger infotainment touchscreen and digital instrument cluster. Its engine offerings are mostly the same as last year’s, but the diesel inline-six has received a bit of a boost in power and new towing aids have been added. The Tahoe’s suspension has been updated for more comfort, and air springs are now available on four of the six trims. The full lineup has also seen new wheel options.

Is the 2025 Chevy Tahoe Powerful?

It should be no secret that the Tahoe is a powerful beast. All trims ship with a V-8 engine (either a 355-horsepower 5.3-liter or a 420-horsepower 6.2-liter) paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive (RWD) on nearly all trims, but all-wheel drive (AWD) is optional, as is a diesel 3.0-liter inline-six engine delivering 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque, which is available for every trim.

The Tahoe Z71 is a mostly off-road package; it features a two-speed transfer case providing traditional four-wheel drive, underbody protection and 20-inch wheels wrapped with all-terrain tires, making your journey on the trail much more comfortable and safe. You can order the Z71, RST, and High Country models with an air spring suspension system that lowers and raises the truck’s ride, so you can traverse nearly any obstacle.

The Tahoe can tow up to 8,400 pounds when properly equipped with RWD and the 5.3-liter V-8. The 6.2-liter V-8 drops towing capacity to 8,300 pounds, and the diesel engine drops it even further to 8,200 pounds. Still, that’s not too shabby when you need towing power!

Is the Interior of the 2025 Chevy Tahoe Nice?

The Tahoe seats eight and there’s more than enough room for everyone. It has three rows of seats; the second-row seats slide forward, enabling large adults to sit comfortably. There’s plenty of storage for everyone, thanks to a wide center console and large storage bin under the center armrest. The LS (base) trim, while comfortable, is very stripped back, while mid-level and upper trims feature options like a power rear liftgate, captain’s chairs for the second row and power-adjusted steering. The top-level High Country package features genuine wood trim, leather upholstery, and color schemes unavailable in any other trim.

All Tahoe trims feature a user-friendly 11.0-inch digital instrument cluster and 17.7-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a wireless charging pad. A Bose stereo system and a two-display rear-seat entertainment system are optional.
