2014 Chevy Malibu Preview
2014 Chevy Malibu Look & Feel
Taking after its bigger Impala brother, the sleek design of the 2014 Chevy Malibu offers a more prominent grille and windswept headlights following last year’s redesign. The Malibu’s rear design also keeps it in the family, with taillights reminiscent of its Camaro cousin. Its airy, upscale interior offers a boost in rear-seat legroom this year as well as the addition of a new center console with added storage. Those looking for a family hauler won’t want to miss out on the impressive 16.3 cubic foot trunk.
Malibu Tech and Trim
2014 Chevy Malibu LS
The less expensive LS trim comes standard with a six-speaker stereo with CD player and satellite radio, A/C, cruise, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, power driver seat height adjuster, remote keyless entry, Bluetooth connectivity, 16-inch alloy wheels, and automatic headlights.
2014 Chevy Malibu LT

MyLink includes smartphone integration for Pandora and Stitcher, Bluetooth streaming audio, a comprehensive Gracenote database, and more – all on a screen that flips open to reveal a hidden storage compartment.
2014 Chevy Malibu LTZ
Top-of-the-line LTZ models add a power passenger seat, heated front seats, leather, heated front head rests, and auto-dimming rearview mirror.
2014 Chevy Malibu Eco
The Chevy Malibu Hybrid Eco models are trimmed similar to LT models, with upgrades such as 17-inch alloy wheels, foglights, climate control, power driver’s seat, and leather-wrapped steering wheel/shift knob.
Power & Performance in an Unpretentious Package
From easy-going to exciting, the 2014 Chevy Malibu offers an engine choice for every driver. The standard 2.5 liter 4 cylinder engine produces 196 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque, offering a blend of power and fuel economy rated at 25 city/36 highway mpg. For those looking for a little extra boost at the expense of a little gas mileage, the 2 liter turbocharged 4 cylinder engine produces 259 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, all while maintaining a respectable gas mileage of 21 city/30 highway mpg. Those looking for something a little milder may wish to opt for the Eco model – a mild hybrid which combines the 2.4 liter 4 cylinder with a small electric motor. This model also gets 25 city/36 highway mpg. However, it should be noted that this model will be phased out early this year to be replaced with the standard 2.5 liter engine. (Perusing Malibus bearing the Eco badge? Be sure to verify which engine is under the hood.) All models feature a six-speed automatic transmission, and new for this year, an automatic stop-start feature that turns off the engine when you are stopped to save fuel.
